The Coliseum in Los Angeles is currently undergoing a huge renovation to not only upgrade the amenities and technology throughout the facility, but to include some low impact development (LID) measures as well.
In conjunction with plans to upgrade the sound system, widen the pedestrian aisles, and add WiFi, the civil engineers at KPFF Consulting Engineers chose to route stormwater to a series of MaxWell® drywells located throughout the stadium.
The addition of the drywells around the facility will help the field dry out quicker after a storm. And as a side bonus, the groundwater beneath the stadium will be replenished every time it rains. A Torrent Resources drill rig mobilized to the site on Wednesday 2/7/18 and began installing the custom MaxWells.
